and now, you’re getting it! Tuesday, June 10, 2008 will be the first-ever Fried Chicken Dinner at Big Jones. Then, every Tuesday, we’ll offer up fried chicken dinners as a regular deal. They’ll be pan-fried in cast iron dutch ovens (the ONLY way to fry chicken) for the perfect crust. We’ll serve them with garlicky greens, mashed potatoes, pan gravy, and cornbread. Hardly contemporary, but fried chicken’s one of those things we felt it’s best not to mess with. A half REAL free-range chicken with all the fixins for eighteen bucks. Or, go family-style (whole chicken with the fixins) for thirty-three.
There will be an off-the-wall drink special to go with, but we’re still thinking of that, so stop in, or check back here.
