Paul called me after going to the Green City Market this morning (Saturday.) He picked up some fresh strawberries, but there was no rhubarb to be found — it’s going out of season. So we may have to drop the delicious rhubarb crumble from the dessert menu, and put the strawberry shortcake on instead.
Mind you, this is a home-made strawberry shortcake, not that store-bought yellow cake with frozen strawberries and fake whipped cream. This is the real deal!
