We’re getting super excited gearing up for Spring, so we’re bringing out a lamb dish as a special this weekend, see how it goes, and hopefully it’s on the menu for Spring. I spent a good long while on the phone this week with Harry from Mint Creek Farm, and will be bringing their lamb in starting next week, a first for us. Mint Creek is an example of a farm that does everything right, and you can feel confident that their animals live well, which makes good eating besides being the right thing to do.
We’ve also got our first shipment of soft shell crawfish from the Achafalaya Basin. How cool is that? Talk about a fun, obscure Southern delicacy, and just in time for Lent! Here then, are this weekend’s specials:
- Achafalaya Soft Shell Crawfish with Creamed Corn Maque Choux, Fried Potato-Scallion Salad, Hot Sauce Espuma
- Blackened Hook & Line Caught Day Boat Mahi-Mahi with Coconut Sticky Rice, Roasted Pineapple, Green Curry Broth, Radish & Pea Shoot Salad
- Lamb Duet of Daube & Spicy Lamb Sausage, Braised Carrots, Candied Salsify, Mashed Turnips, Rose Hip Puree
